Oscilliscope Cursors

The cursors of the oscilliscope can be used to accurately measure the period, frequency or peak-to-peak amplitude of a displayed waveform. The screenshot above shows the cursors being used to measure the time difference between two peaks of sinasoid. The result is 1kHz, which matches the frequency of the signal from the function generator. The other three channels are not connected in the current circuit design, so they display as noise.
